Legionnaires of Lewis L. Millett Post 38 receive Retired Soldier Casualty Assistance Officer Training

Legionnaires of Lewis L. Millett Post 38, South Korea, received the Retired Soldier Casualty Assistance Officer Training via Zoom on Aug. 16, 2022. Christopher H. Mayberry, casualty operation specialist at Camp Humphreys, conducted the training. The training was to prepare the Legionnaires to conduct Retired Soldier Casualty Officer (RSCAO) duties. A Retired Soldier Casualty Officer will assist the primary next of kin, normally the widow, of the deceased retiree. The RSCAO will assist the widows with making appointments applicable to military benefits, request VA resources, complete relevant forms, etc. Post 38 Commander Steve Tharp will be assisting widows in the Seoul City area, Post 38 Chaplain Tim Lane will assist widows in the Camp Humphreys area, and Post 38 Service Officer Bill Beatty will assist widows in the Dongducheon area.
