We are doing the 100 Miles For Hope challenge that benefits the Veterans & Children Foundation, which supports our nation's veterans, military families and their communities. The campaign asks that you cover 100 miles by walking, running, cycling or riding a motorcycle 100 miles by Veterans Day, Nov. 11. We are members of Post & Unit 330, Mid-Florida Lakes, Leesburg, Fla.

If you wish to participate, go to www.legion.org/100Miles. There is a registration fee of $30, half of which goes to a "100 Miles For Hope" T-shirt with the balance going to the cause.

We cycle 5 miles three times a week and already have logged 30 miles - 70 to go!
