I can honestly say that I do not have any memorable moments of basic training, some 30 yrs. ago at Lackland AFB, San Antonio TX.

I can say that moment did come when I returned there for a second time in Oct. of 2015, to watch my son graduate basic training. It took all I had to hold back the tears as I watched him march onto the parade field (not saying that I held back all of them).

As a father and veteran it was one of the proudest moments of my life.
