I graduated Boot Camp at Great Lakes NTC in October 1984, just in time for the Navy's birthday. Company 84-257.

I was chosen as Company "Honor man", Reason being per Chief Brooks, "Well, we gotta give it to somebody".

Now regarding the photo I have enclosed. On the left and right are my Company Commanders, MS1 Bublitz, and Chief Brooks. I am in the center.

Chief Brooks was determined that I would have a family photo to remember. So I have a family photo. Someones family. Just not mine.
