On Veterans Day 2024, our Post 306 Legionnaires held a rededication ceremony for the namesake of our post, John W. Lupu. We invited John's brother Ray Lupu, wife and friends to join us for a special day. We held a free veterans turkey dinner, had a presentation made to Ray and his wife by the NJDMVA, and finally the presentation of the memorial wall filled with photos of John from high school, his time in Vietnam, his Vietnam War memorial scribing and descriptions from the Vietnam War memorial site. We concluded the honors by having Ray place the John W. Lupu KIA nameplate on our wall of honor.
