On Dec. 7, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) remembered Pearl Harbor and those who died. Since we are in Arizona, a model of USS Arizona was on display in front of the speaker stand. The day began with 20 motorcycles rolling in to kick the event off. The chaplain gave the opening prayer. The Honor Guard came out and lowered the flag, then raised the flag before lowering it back to half-mast. The commander read a statement of the events of the day. The chaplain gave closing prayer on "A Date Which Will Live in Infamy."
Interesting fact: the last of the Arizona members passed, and everyone who survived was later interred in the wreckage.
