On Thanksgiving John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) hosted a free meal for members. The post cooked the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and gravy. Members brought in more sides and desserts with a potluck. Several members have no families to enjoy a meal with. Other members bring food and come in to share a meal with lonely members. Everyone wins in a situation like this. Being thankful on Thanksgiving is sharing your time with someone who has nobody to share the meal with. A salute to the three members who volunteered to do all the post donation cooking, and to the post for donating all that food for the members. About 100 members came in to enjoy the meal and by the smiles, it was great food. The three volunteers doing the work amazingly came from the Legion, Auxiliary and Sons, and all three belong to the Riders.
