Old Glory, Old Glory
Old Glory, Old Glory
Flying up high.
You look so beautiful,
Up in the sky.
You waved over the free,
And the home of the brave.
Old Glory, Old Glory
The lives you have saved.
You were there, at Bunker Hill.
When we lost to the British.
But you were with us at Yorktown.
When the Brits surrendered.
You were not skittish.
Old Glory, Old Glory
Flying up high.
You look so beautiful,
Up in the sky.
You were Ft. McHenry
When Francis Scott Key.
Wrote our National Anthem.
Oh, Say Can You See.
You were ragged and ripped,
Mutilated, and torn.
You never touched ground.
And America was born.
Old Glory, Old Glory
Flying up high.
You look so beautiful,
Up in the sky.
You were at Iwo Jima,
During World War II.
When you were raised,
For the world to see.
The pride in America,
Was as great as can be.
2
You were in Vietnam
When we were ashamed.
But Old Glory, Old Glory
You were not the blame.
Instead, you flew higher and higher.
You showed great waves.
But it did not matter.
Vietnam could not be saved.
Old Glory, Old Glory
Flying up high.
You look so beautiful.
Up in the sky.
There were other battles that
Could not be won.
Because our politicians,
Would only turn and run.
3
Old Glory, Old Glory
Continue to fly,
Because there are Americans
Ready to die.
Old Glory, Old Glory
Keep flying the colors so true
Old Glory, Old Glory, I love you.
