John J. Morris Post 62 Riders present check to Guardian Garage

Peoria, AZ

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the John J. Morris Post 62 Riders of Peoria, Ariz., gathered to ride over to the Guardian Garage non-profit to present a check for $2,500 to support their cause of helping veterans and first responders with PTSD and other issues. The founder of Guardian Garage, Craig Lewis, gave an amazing tour and speech about all they do. The money will help install new electrical systems, so they can use more of their donated equipment. The money will also go toward putting down the foundation for the new woodworking shop they're installing. Post 62 will continue to look for funding to help this amazing organization. Eleven motorcycles and 18 Riders made the trip to show support for Craig and his people and their great work. Everyone left the visit and continued to talk about what an amazing program Guardian Garage is. Guardian Garage is located in Peoria, Ariz., about five miles from Post 62. Hopefully, we will have more stories of support in the near future.

Riders prepare to leave Post 62 to go over to Guardian Garage.

Craig Lewis, founder of Guardian Garage, explains some of the ongoing and future plans of the program. Ken Ellison and Barry Ebright pay close attention to the presentation.

The Riders listening to Craig Lewis. Everyone was engaged in conversations with other workers at the garage as well.
