No matter where you looked in the parking lot, it was motorcycles. Thanks to all who were part of the event.

John J. Morris Post 62 Legion Riders host toy drive

Peoria, AZ

On Nov. 30 the John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) Legion Riders hosted their annual toy drive. Over 75 motorcycles were part of the ride. They started at our post for breakfast and dropped off a new unwrapped toy. There were raffle baskets and silent auction items. Then they rode to four different posts and visited before returning to Post 62 for lunch. Following lunch, they had the drawings for raffle items and closing silent auctions. The whole day was full of smiles and comradery as everyone enjoyed supporting a youth program. In the end, along with all the gifts they raised over $3,000 for additional toys for needy families in the community. A huge salute to all the Riders who attended and supported the event. And a thank-you to Santa Claus for showing up and riding!

When it was time to ride to the other four posts, Bobby Gallo was the road captain with over 75 motorcycles behind him.

The most humble organizer, Larry Tank, called himself the chief worrier during the event.

An event for children at Christmas requires Santa Claus!
