March 15, 2025, marked the 20th anniversary of the Converse (Texas) ALR Chapter 593 Rolling Run. After everyone enjoyed breakfast tacos, donuts and coffee, 65 motorcycles and 90 participants headed out for an estimated 100-mile ride. For safety there were three groups that left at 30-minute intervals. There were three stops that were much needed, and despite the 25-50 mph wind gusts, a good time was had by the participants. After all participants returned safely to the post, food was available, and door prizes went to a number of participants. Also, both silent and live auctions took place. This event is Chapter 593’s major fundraiser each year. The funds raised will be used for post support, veteran and children programs, and our own Veterans-Helping-Veterans program where assistance is given in building of fences, ramps and completion of minor home maintenance and repair for veterans in need.
