Squadron 97 receives $1,000 grant from Florence Copper Community Foundation for new youth drone program

Florence, AZ – Sons of The American Legion Squadron 97 is proud to announce that it has recently been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Florence Copper Community Foundation. This generous contribution will support the squadron's newly developed youth drone program by enabling it to purchase state-of-the-art drone equipment and provide specialized training for young members. This program aims to enhance the squadron's capabilities in various activities, including community service projects, search-and-rescue missions, and youth education initiatives.

"We are extremely grateful to the Florence Copper Community Foundation for their support," said the detachment commander. "This grant will allow us to expand our outreach and effectiveness in serving our community, especially in engaging and educating our youth."
