Third Annual High School to Heroes Banquet hosted by American Legion Post 98

Cumberland , WI

Cumberland, Wis., Anderson Thompson American Legion Post 98 hosts the Third Annual High School to Heroes Banquet. It was an evening where northern Wisconsin high school seniors who have committed to serving our nation in the U.S. Armed Forces were honored with a banquet. Future servicemembers participated in the annual High School to Heroes banquet, held at the Cumberland American Legion on Sunday, April 21, 2024. This year's banquet attracted 23 students from 12 area high schools and 150 people.

All students plus two guests were invited to attend, at no cost thanks to local sponsors. The event included a social hour, dinner, a message by guest speaker, Retired Brigadier General Harold Nevin, an introduction of the honorees and gift bags presented to each individual.

This banquet is a great way for all the local communities to show their support to the newest members of the U.S. military. A grateful nation thanks them for their willingness to serve and for their patriotism.
