On July 4, John J. Morris Post 62, (Peoria, Ariz.) held a day full of events to celebrate Independence Day. The morning kicked off with flag-raising, then moved inside to get out of the heat and hold speeches. The Riders kicked off the morning by riding in with several motorcycles. The honor guard raised the flag along with rifle salute. Inside the chaplain opened with a prayer followed by the commander's and Auxiliary president's speeches. At noon the potluck opened along with the post providing hamburgers and hot dogs. The afternoon began with the local favorite band getting everyone dancing for four hours.
