Post 62 was honored to be invited and participate in the district's first ever business advisory networking meeting.

John J. Morris Post 62 joins Peoria Unified School District Business Advisory Network

Peoria, AZ

On Sept. 12, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) sent two veterans from our publicity/community relations team to the first ever Peoria Unified School District Business Advisory Network. The host school, Cactus High School, went all out to welcome the community leaders to the meeting with a band, JROTC saber arch, cheerleaders, football players, DJ and more students with a red-carpet welcome. Once inside the meeting hall, the culinary class had a breakfast for all to enjoy (and it was delicious). There were speeches on things going on in the school district, then business leaders all introduced themselves. Once the "official" meeting was over the networking kicked into high gear. We are looking very forward to going to their next event to learn more about the district and more community-leader networking. It was amazing in the meeting hall to see all the championship banners for robotics this school had won.

Their Air Force JROTC welcomed all with sabers high to walk through.

Coming in off the red carpet, you were welcomed by cheerleaders, football players and other students dancing to the music.

Credit has to be given to their culinary class for the delicious breakfast they provided everyone.
