In honor of the Army's birthday, John J. Morris Post 62 celebrated with a cake and ceremony. The Auxiliary bakes a cake for each branch in their birthday month. The cake is presented following the 7:00 toast on the night the Auxiliary hosts the evening meal. All veterans from that branch come up, get acknowledged and get first pieces of the cake. The whole building always supports veterans in attendance from that branch. "One family" is the words used to describe the post.
