Post 21 Legion Family supports All Abilities 5K with water stop and encouragement

Holley-Riddle Post 21 - The Colony, TX

The Post 21 Legion Family was out in full force at the All Abilities 5K on March 29, supporting participants by working the mid-race water stop that provided more than just hydration - it delivered motivation, camaraderie and community spirit.
Sponsored by The Colony SCHEELS, the event welcomed runners, walkers, wheelchair racers and hand cyclists of all backgrounds to the 3.1-mile course, with some even pushing wheelchair-bound young athletes to share in the experience. The Post 21 Warrior team enthusiastically handed out water, cheered on the competitors and encouraged them every step of the way. Military runners were among those taking part, making the event even more meaningful for the Legion Family.
Even four-legged friends weren’t left out! A special doggie hydration station ensured that participating pups stayed hydrated alongside their human companions.
The Post 21 Legion Family’s presence exemplified their commitment to inclusiveness, support and service - not just for veterans, but for the entire community. Their efforts helped make the All Abilities 5K a memorable and inspiring event for everyone involved.
Thanks to the support of The Colony SCHEELS and the dedication of the Post 21 Legion Family, the All Abilities 5K was a resounding success, demonstrating the power of community and the importance of accessibility in athletics. The Post 21 Warriors lived up to their mantra – “No Athlete Left Behind.”
