Raising awareness to save veterans and their family members

Fuquay Varina , NC

The American Legion Riders of NC Post 116 rallied together Saturday, March 22, to bring awareness of colon cancer and the importance of early detection. Our Riders director Chris Stocker lost his brother to colon cancer earlier this year, and fellow Rider Ashley Feit lost her brother for the same disease. Early detection and awareness could have made a difference! Together, Ashley and Chris set out to evoke awareness to our members and families and hope to have made an impact with learning about early detection.
This team, along with our many sponsors and volunteers, raised $2,800 that will be used for colon cancer research and to reduce the screening age for colon cancer.
We are grateful for the support of our Rider members, post members and the community for making our first Colon Cancer Awareness Ride such a successful event!
Thanks to all who came out and participated!
