A village of veteran organizations come together

Sugar Hill , GA

During this past winter, a veteran who had been living in their car for years contacted a Legion post for help when he became stranded in another state. Georgia's American Legion Post 127 commander and team took charge of the situation. They got the car back to the area after partnering with another great veteran organization named G.I. Garage which trains and helps veterans. They housed the veteran in a hotel while they got a new transmission for his car and other repairs done with assistance from Post 127. He also received fundraising and assistance from another veteran organization named Nam Knights. Finally, with assistance from Operation Rally Point, another great veteran organization, this veteran now has permanent housing. So many great people and organizations came together to help this veteran and these organizations continue to help many veterans in the metro Atlanta area.
